Pre-licensing retreat #2

There was an image given to my spiritual director in prayer; one that she tried to vocalise but ended up allowing me to accept as a picture.....A whale's tale.

Wow!
What more powerful and free and majestic could there be?

I took the image with me to retreat and spent the first hour or so sketching the image in my mind; one I had seen for myself many years ago in South African waters.

I'm no artist and I've only recently started sketching, but this image just flowed through pencils



And then oil crayons
