What does the heart symbolise?

We tend to see the heart as a pretty shape; one which represents love and tends to be red.  Much like this one Rachel made me



But Rachel has also decided that the heart is two people facing each other and talking.  She has made this picture to show it



She thinks that the love shows two people in love, what a wonderful symbol of love.  She also thinks that they are cuddling each other, again a symbol to be celebrated.
