12 days to go
Until 6 is no more
Less than 2 weeks
For the one I adore
Then we will celebrate
Her birthday again
Unless she keeps arguing
And driving us insane
The question therefore is
Would seven prove
To be too much cheek
Too much attitude
In which case I need
A miracle or two now
To help us all cope
With what we have now
It's just being a mum
That's all this is
And all she is being
A very normal kid
I know it will stop
How much longer can it last?
My good girl WILL return
And these worries will pass
This was written as part of the 100 word challenge for grown ups. This week the prompt was
....would seven prove to be too much? ....

ReplyDeleteLove your poem, and adding the extra "O" was really clever.
ReplyDeleteI confess I've become mildly annoyed by all the ungrammatical uses of the prompt, so this was really refreshing.

After reading so many ungrammatical uses of the prompt I found your change really refreshing!
