Eighth wonder of my world

There are wondrous things
Spread all over
In this world we live
Just waiting for us to behold

Ancient civilisations
Natural formations
And the wonders of
Human achievements

But for me
More than the rest
There's a purer wonder
Here for us to enjoy

It's creation itself
Life and the universe
The sun, sea. Birth, life
And most of all - Love

Xxxxxx

Written for Ella on her last wonder Wednesday at Poets United.

  1. Love, indeed, is a wonder, Emma. It has so many attributes attached to itself.

  2. Agreed. Our mini-creations are not as wondrous as creation itself.

  7. My first time here, thanks to Poets United and dear Ella. Mine was also linked to Jasmine Calyx's list of words at her site...

You took hold of the real wonder in the world, polished it, made it shine like the noonday sun. LOVE. Yeah, you've got it goin' on. Thanks so much! Amy
