Osee, Joel, Amos and Micheas
Just four of the lesser known prophets
Through prayerful discipline, tears and patience
They shared God's messages caught in sublime moments
Aggeus, Zacharias and Malachia too
Were another three prophets that people knew
They weren't heroic, they couldn't fly
But their pieces of the future raised them high
Many other people have tried the same
Gazing at the sky and trying to steal their game
But imposters' limits are quickly understood
And the truly enlightened are retained as they should

Linked up at the Sunday whirl incorporating the words in the picture.
Lesser known, but equally revered...
ReplyDeleteLesser known but they retained their powers. Impostors are aplenty but neither powers nor strength. Nicely Emma!

I confess I read the first line so fast that I thought the first prophet you named was "Oscar." He would have been a lesser-known prophet indeed! :)

The words are woven so skillfully--I do think that is the sign of a well-done wordle. I love seeing where we each take the wordle words--and your direction is one I would not have thought of! And thank you for visiting my blog as well.
ReplyDeleteVery well whirled. Didn't the prophets have spectacular names?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tribute to the *lesser* prophets.
ReplyDeleteThe lesser-known prophets may well be the most genuine, since they devote themselves to prophecy instead of marketing. :-)
