The toad house

Six inches tall
But perfectly formed
Wattle and daub frame
Lined with willow board

Two fireplaces within
Inglenook of course
And a winding staircase
Leads to the upper floor

Everything designed
Perfectly for toad
So mind you don't step on it
As you wander the forest road

    The spiral staircase and fireplace reminds me of a home I loved and grew in for awhile. Great poem, Emma!!

    Hopefully your toady inhabitants have a dab webbed hand for DIY repairs: thatched wattle & daub needs a lot of looking after. I know it well.
