Give them wings

So many kids in the world
Live in the worst conditions
Every instant is a slap in their face
Yet they don't complain about their existence

Everytime I see their plight
I gasp at the unbalanced world
Every child deserves a childhood
Away from dusty snares and cold

I long to give them wings
To let them know they're valued
To let them ride away into the blue
To first and last see them blessed

A poem incorporating the words from the Sunday whirl and touching on why I do what I can for charities that support children in poverty around the world.

Today as red nose day approaches I dedicate the poem to comic relief.

It is so sad to think of children being robbed of their childhood. You have broached a tender topic that needs to be addressed.

A world is not a good place when its children are starving or abused. Thanks for addressing the issue,

I am with you on these wishes! I guess we can only work one child at a time though. Still it is worth the effort to reach this goal.
