Where are your footprints?

Lord I know you said you were there
When I asked where your footprints had gone
But I'm on my knees in the sand
And your words are a never played song

I can't connect to them
I can't remember the tune
Lord I need you beside me
I need you here and soon

You said that you carried me
When life got too hard to stand
But I don't feel like I'm lifted up
Is this really what you planned?

All I see are drag marks
As I stumble here and there
Please Lord come be with me
You're the only one who'll care

Lord, I'm calling
Can you hear me cry?
Please come hold my hand
Walk beside me from on high

This poem came fast and furious as soon as I saw the image provides by the mag this week. It is making reference to the poem "Footprints" about how God will carry us when we need Him to.
