A to Z and back again #NaPoWriMoDayThirty

A beauty crept downstairs
Every feature gripping hearts,
Intriguing joyful kings,
Leaving men nearing oblivion.
Prom queens relinquished stars,
Tornadoes unwrapped veils,
Whispers Xpelled young zeal.

Zipped-up youthful xcitement
Visited unearthly twirling storms.
Remembered questions proceeded
Obvious news.
Men lent kind judgement,
Immediately halting, graciously,
For earthly dowagers chasing
Binding angels

Xxxxx

Inspired by and linked up at real toads.  I can see this poem in my mind and I wish I could paint it, my hope on this last day of NaPoWriMo is that my words paint a picture for you.

  1. I like going backwards in the story to a happier "ending". Brava!

  7. Backward! Wow! That's wonderful, Emma.
I really struggled with this prompt for some reason. Then, when I was done, I got halfway through the alphabet with
    "apparently,
    better causes
    do exist:
    funding homes
in jungles..." and then I stalled again. I'm still stunned by the idea of doing the alphabet backward, although I used to be able to recite it that way when I was about 8.
    Congratulations on acing the prompt.
