I've written this in response to A History of Weather by Billy Collins as was our challenge at real toads today.  I've also linked this for the prompt Lily at haiku heights.

  1. I like the way you linked your haiku.

  2. Our weather has been crazy lately ~ Like the weaving and cascading tercets ~

  3. I like how you used one of B.C.'s poems to inspire something of your own. The repetition makes it have a unique rhythm to it.

Thanks for joining in the Toads prompt today!

  5. I like this chain of haiku. I like when poets take on social issues in their writings. Good one.

  6. Climates change, and so do we.
I just had some fun reading your poem differently (holding it up to the light, as Billy Collins said) and found a whole new poem by reading the second line of each haiku: and I particularly liked "Patterns like spring clouds painting broad brushstrokes felt by lily and orchid"!
None of which is probably what you had in mind, but it's not my fault, it was Billy's idea.

  7. Excellent. Your repetition underscores the "change." Great match of form and message.

  8. I especially liked how you slid over from weather to the more potent subject of religion. More firestorms there than anything in a brushfire, and with so many people hurt by the crap taught by intolerant pastors!

My hub is a pastor, and we are old Lefties, so all are welcome, including transgender people. LOVED your hidden message, right up Billy's alley! Amy
