Peggy challenged us to write about outside. Today the sun has shone all day so we've been outside. By our local stream there were many dogs playing, this is my take on what happens when they're back "outside" the water. We had a few refreshing incidents.
What a lovely day in the sun.
ReplyDeleteLovely! But keep clear when he shakes himself after his dip.
ReplyDeletesounds great.
ReplyDeleteSuch a crisp image and description here. The dog is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the shaking wet dog syndrome. There's a TV commercial with a wet Golden Retriever shaking itself inside the house. I laugh every time I see it.

Ha! Yes! Our dogs like to mud run, too. We all get foot-printed and shake-splashed afterwards.
ReplyDeleteOh, this was great! We had a series of German Short-haired Pointers when I was a kid. One bath in the creek and it was like they didn't want to shake off until they were near enough to "splat" someone. I laughed at this little verse!! Thanks, Amy
ReplyDeleteAh - nothing like the smell of wet dog in the spring!
ReplyDeleteI hear the flap-slap of a good shake!
ReplyDeleteI have a Goldendoodle (a mix of two water dogs) and if water is near, he is straining. Fun spring poem!
