This poem is written for the100wcgu at Julia's Place with the prompt ...and winter will bring...
What will winter bring?
Spring brought light and warmth on my face
With blossom and daffodils all over the place
Summer delivered heat and days outdoors
Playing on the beach or inside on cool floors
Autumn provided loads of leaves on the ground
With webs and dew and conkers to be found
And winter will bring, well I'm not yet quite sure
But I hope there'll be snow and snowmen galore.
This poem is also submitted at Poetry Jam at http://poetryjaam.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/seasons.html please go and read the other poetic entries.

So many poems this time. I like the light-hearted tone.
Yes, lets hope there'll be lots of snowmen.
and snow ball fights...and snow angels....smiles..i think each season can be appreciated for the bits of fun and wonder that it brings....hope you have a good winter....
I hope you have snowmen galore Emma! Love your blog! :-)
Ah, snowmen galore is definitely one of the positives of winter. Used to love making them. For me winter is always a long season. I enjoyed your poem.
I hope you will also include a link to Poetry Jam where you posted this, in addition to Julia's place, which I am not familiar with.
I will be linking to poetry jam as soon as I can get blogger to cooperate, it's playing ne up this evening :)
Thanks Carrie, great to meet you
Oh yes snow angel s - I love them! Thanks for popping by
I'm a winter birthday and I'm sure that's why I like winter - when it's properly cold and bright. I'll be providing a link to poetry jam as soon as blogger stops misbehaving
And snow girls
Soooo I've got blogger working before bed, night all
Very fun!! Hope that your wish comes true :-)
Enjoyed your poem! Sounds like a year of good seasons!
SNOW! You and my grandson who is an avid skier .... for me? Let it stay on the mountain, please?
Neat seasons poem here and thanks for responding to my Poetry Jam prompt. Just wondering what a conker is--must be some kind of nut? Or tree see?
It's a seed of a sycamore tree encased in spiny shell; they are highly prized by kids in the UK
Thanks, I love the more southern climates for visits but would really miss the changing seasons
I like just an inch on the ground, not too much but enough to make the world beautiful.
Love the playful tone of this...winter is my favorite season, may there be snowmen aplenty this year! Thanks so much for sharing this.
How fun. We moved to the south a few years ago. Living without winter (for the kids) was had. It snowed one year and they were out all day showing the other kids how best to build a snow man and fort as some kids had never done that before!!
