You should be at work
Not living life like the fifties
What's the point in feminism
If you don't live life fully
Living life like the fifties
You have no idea
Come see it with me
Then all will become clear
See this poor woman
Stuck in her house
Washing for hours
On a wheel like a mouse
This is the fifties
No break from the chores
Women were servants
Scrubbing all the floors
No proper fridges
No washing machines
Hours in drudgery
Keeping everything clean
This is not my life
I choose to not work
I volunteer in the community
Not drive myself beserk
Ok, you've made your point
It wasn't the same
Life in the fifties
For women was lame
Female emancipation
Has given us a voice
How we choose to use it
Should be our individual choice

Ha! Perfect. Love the lines about not driving yourself berserk.
Thanks for the second effort, Emma.
Hear! Hear! This is the message that ought to put an end to the "Mommy Wars" and criticism of women who choose to stay at home. Well done, Emma.
That is so what it was like in the 50's. Though I suspect women likely still do the large share of cooking and cleaning. At least now young women have choices. And better appliances!! Good one, kiddo.
