take a leaf out of the leaf book

We could take a leaf out of the leaf book
Allowing ourselves to age in style
Instead of thinking we loose our beauty
We should embrace the change in our smile

No one thinks Autumn leaves look ugly
So why do we try to pretend we're the same
Wrinkles are signs of laughter
Get hair is nothing to shame

Kids collect the most colourful leaves
Valuing their brightnes at that stage
How beautifully leaves grow old
Why can't we see we're also beautiful with age

  1. Ah yes, to age like a fine wine...and why is it that we are more apt to always pick up a fallen leaf from fall...because they are so beautiful!

  2. One of the perks of living on the coast of Georgia. The marshes turn such beautiful colors in fall!

  5. I really, really need to work on this philosophy.

I keep shuddering when I look in the mirror.

Perhaps I need to see myself in more vibrant color!

This was really evocative writing. I enjoyed it so much.

    Thank you for sharing.
