This is written as part of my a to z of mental health, this is how depression feels, it's so much more than feeling a bit blue. If you think someone you or someone you know is suffering from depression then please seek help from your doctor.

I guess a lot of people feel this way around the holidays. I am thankful that I am NOT depressed, and able to enjoy Christmas with my family. One of the things I do to keep from getting depressed is to try not to expect unreasonable demands on my family and to be thankful for each moment I have with them, however much or little it is.
