Enjoying the unusual

Every normal day we're
   Busy
          Busy
                Busy

But whilst recovering, today is
    Empty
          Empty
                Empty

No rush
             Rush
                     Rush
For school

No check
                Check
                          Check
The clock

Together we're just
   Chilling
          Chilling
                  Chilling

An unusual day
A healing day
A special day

Tonight I dare to
   Wish
          Wish
                 Wish

For more
               More
                        More
Of these unusual days

(but without the sickness)

  1. Sometimes those unusual days are good for a person. They get someone outside of their routine, and that is a good thing. I am glad you appreciated your unusual day(s) while recovering, and I am glad you wrote poem about it as well. (Smiles)

  3. Aww... that's sweet. There's nothing like a day like that when feeling bad.

  4. Sometimes life forces us to take a break and that can indeed be a gift. Hope you don't have to wait for more sickness for another special day (and I hope healing is going well).

  5. Love this and the almost magical way you have created the words. Every day is precious and a gift. A chance to experience grace. Well done.

  7. My hope for you is that not feeling well becomes extremely unusual.

  8. I've felt the same on days when my kids are home sick, but then the rushing begins all again.
