Every normal day we're
Busy
Busy
Busy
But whilst recovering, today is
Empty
Empty
Empty
No rush
Rush
Rush
For school
No check
Check
Check
The clock
Together we're just
Chilling
Chilling
Chilling
An unusual day
A healing day
A special day
Tonight I dare to
Wish
Wish
Wish

Of these unusual days
(but without the sickness)

Sometimes those unusual days are good for a person. They get someone outside of their routine, and that is a good thing. I am glad you appreciated your unusual day(s) while recovering, and I am glad you wrote poem about it as well. (Smiles)
ReplyDeleteah that is not a bad unusual day at all...no rushing...i am all for it...spring break here next week so we will get to do some of that relaxing....
ReplyDeleteAww... that's sweet. There's nothing like a day like that when feeling bad.
ReplyDeleteSometimes life forces us to take a break and that can indeed be a gift. Hope you don't have to wait for more sickness for another special day (and I hope healing is going well).
ReplyDeleteLove this and the almost magical way you have created the words. Every day is precious and a gift. A chance to experience grace. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing creating this jaunty little poem helped recovery along!!!
ReplyDeleteMy hope for you is that not feeling well becomes extremely unusual.
ReplyDeleteI've felt the same on days when my kids are home sick, but then the rushing begins all again.
ReplyDeleteWell, I adore the photo! And I too love those type of days, treasure them in fact (without the sickness!)
