Autumn arrives
This is a perfect Autumn day to me,
this is a sign that Autumn has arrived,
a pure blue sky as far as eyes can see,
and a nip in the air and dew on the grass
The conkers are falling, the acorns too,
the blackberries are heavy on the bush,
tree leaves are turning another hue
And there's a crunch on the path as we walk
The sun's shining down with heat disappearing,
the air is cooler, but clearer as well,
summer has past but winter awaiting,
And walks are required to enjoy nature anew.
