You've got to be kidding

You've got to be kidding
I'm not going up there
It's far too high
Up there in the air

Yes I know I'm a chicken
I don't care what you say
I'm happy staying down here
On the floor's where I'll stay

But feel free to go up there
Knock yourself out
I'll take lots of photos
And video your shouts

What's that, you're scared?
Who would have believed
That you who was laughing
Is now in need

Come on, get back down
I'll get you a hot choc
Some sugar and firm ground
Should calm and cure the shock.

This poem was written as part of Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus Challenge. The prompt was the climbing wall photo and we had 100 words to write. If you love reading then go and see the entries; or perhaps have a go yourself.
