Awaiting summer impatiently

It's spring, apparently
But it's not here yet really
Being only March and rather snowy
There's very little greenery

Daffodil bulbs are sprouting
New leaf shoots are budding
But underground is all the growing
So nothing's really showing

Whilst counting the next few weeks
Waiting impatiently on summer heat
And blooms full of scent so sweet
I enjoy these flowers,  bunched so neat

I sure do hope spring comes quickly for you. I have that feeling for winter to come so it will cool us down and those 100+ days end. We are already running our A/C because the heat has begun. Although the few times we get down to the low 30's panic pretty much sets in because it can destroy the crops of citrus and avocados. So it is actually important for us to stay warm since most of the countries produce is grown here. But CA is a big state and up north their weather is different and in some areas they get lots and lots of snow which is important because it supplies the water for all of the crops down here. A very delicate balance that Mother Nature has created.

When I see pictures of all the snow you receive I many times wish that we got it and then it hits me that I would have no idea what to do with it. And it does give you something to look forward to. All the new growth has to be fascinating to see so much of it. Beautiful flowers in the pic. I think you are very blessed to have them in your house.

Thank you so much for sharing a wonderful poem with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. May the sun shine upon your face and warm your body with lots of joy.

God bless.
