This piece of word art is inspired by the words of Artist Poet and human rights activist Cesar A. Cruz:
"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable."
In ways I am both disturbed and comfortable. I am comfortable as a middle class married, white woman living in the UK. Yet I am disturbed by my physical limitations and my mental health variability. I am however disturbed even more by the desire for equality for everyone, the need to eradicate poverty and the importance of achieving environmental justice. I think this comes through in my art and Poetry.
