Apple tree bee

I've always wanted
To own an apple tree
To grow my own fruit
To have for my tea

I went to the nursery
To choose the right one
That will taste best
And not need much sun

I chose the braeburn
Apple's I love
And found a tree
To nurture with love

But I hadn't remembered
About fertilisation
I needed another
To make a bee station

So now I have two
One for me, one for you
Double apples we'll have
If there's apple tree bee love

One year on
When the first apple fell
I rejoiced in the bees
Our experiment went well

This poem was written as part of the 100 word challenge for grown ups with the prompt

....as the apple fell.....

cute poem! We planted apple trees this year - 4 of them and are looking forward to our first apples in a few years.

Love it.
Seems like you may even get bread-and-honey too!
