Make your own African necklace

African women love to wear beaded jewellery, the more ornate and colourful the better.  Today at PPP the kids made their own versions as part of a day celebrating our connection with the Jubilee centre in Zambia.  All it took was a paper plate and some paint.

I cut the paper plate into its central round (for another craft) and its edge (for this craft).  I then cut through the edge at one point so the kids could put it round their necks.

A load of children with paints and paint brushes and lots of imagination and experimentation resulted in these amazing creations.  Good enough for any African princess.
