A to Z of mental health: coping

When you're down and out
Feeling desperate
When there's no where else to go
There's always something else

When the medicines don't work
They're not enough
When talking isn't fixing it
There's always something else

There's meditation and prayer
To help calm down
There's exercise and diet
To help level out
There's chatting and laughing
To get perspective
There's breathing and living
To get through each day

When you're down and out
Know you're not
There's always someone who cares
There's always something else

Xxxxxxxx

This poem is written to fit with a well known song, music is a great way of helping me cope and so I challenge you to find the song.

Your poem is a little more serious than mine.

Very nice poetry. I find writing to be very therapeutic, and being interested in herbals find that they are calming also, once you find the right ones, of course. :-)

Very nice! 1 Peter 5:7 is my anxiety mantra.
