Christmas Lights

We're lighting up the world
Bringing Jesus' love to light
Decorating the house inside and out
But there's a problem left and right

The lights won't cooperate
They worked when I put them away
Now they're tangled and broken
We can't celebrate Jesus this way

So let's break out the candles
In the churches and on the streets
Let's share the light of Christmas
With everyone we meet

Xxxxxxx

This poem is written as part of the 100wcgu for the prompt "They worked when I put them away".

I love candles, especially this time of year.

I love the way you wrote something so uplifting based on a prompt about something broken.

Yes, that is what Christmas lights do.

There's something to be said for candles.

Cheers!
