Letters at the Beach

Today we dodged the rain and almost tropical thunder storms and got a couple of hours on the beach at Berck - on the North Coast of France.

Mike and I relaxed in the sun. Rachel ran around like a headless chicken enjoying all the space and freedom.

Of course this picture of family tranquility lasted a mere half an hour before her need to be entertained arrived; but with a stick and sand at hand I had no worries.

I tasked Rachel with making the biggest letter R she could on the sand.

She started large for paper/small for beach but quickly progressed.

There was a sizeable bubble written R; and then a massive footprint R which took at least half a dozen attempts.

An hour of fun and creativity and learning; what more could you want?
Give it a go yourself; it's so much fun.
