Lost #NaPoWriMoDayTwelve

Lost
Amid the dark corners
Stabbed by red spears
Covered in purple stallactites

Lost
Away from golden light
Praying for orange clouds
Blind to silver linings

Lost
Scared
Heavy of heart
Lost

Xxxx

This piece of abstract art by Chelsea Bednar inspired the poem which is linked up at real toads.

lost to silver linings...

but I think I do see a small one under the lower right curve... There is a seeking, a "journeyness" about this painting to me as well.

The whole poem echoes of loss in the dark corners ~ Good one ~

I really like the way that you choose to close this. It feels like a fading or an echo. Very effective.

I am thoroughly enjoying where contributors were transported as they viewed Chelsea's art ... yours is no exception.

I'm keen on this one. I understand how you chose to see paths and a sense of being lost in the sort of labyrinth in here. Very nice. Peace, Amy

My husband likes to go into tunnels and caves with his camera when the opportunity presents itself (he doesn't seek them out) but they terrify me. I could SO relate to your interpretation of this painting, Emma. Well said.
