Oh my my
Too many flies
I knew I should stop
But they're a lovely lot
All different flavours
So much to savour
And now my tummy
Regrets the yummy
Next time I'll restrict
The number I pick
I'll be more selective
Perhaps more creative
With more taste
And less haste
But for now
I wonder how
I'll recover
My brother
Oh my my
Too many flies

Today is Save the Frog Day and this is my ode to this wonderful photo of a frog. Linked up at real toads.

This reminds me of a saying we have in Spanish: "Estoy mas lleno que un sapo de latrina." Translated it literally means, "I'm more full than a latrine frog." Ha. Ha.
That picture is the best ever! And your words topped it off nicely...
Love that you left the photo till the bottom. Perfect. One satisfied (overly satisfied) little guy. Cute how you captured its single mindedness of dining...al fresco I imagine ;-O
OMG, I LOVE the photo, and the adorable poem about his upset tummy!
I could have sworn I left a comment........will try again. I LOVE this adorable poem, and the picture of poor froggy with an upset tummy. Made me smile.

Yummy and delicious poem.........
This is so cute and a delightful picture to go with it! With all that stuffing on flies the poor frog needs a nap.
Image and poem are a riot!! Thank you for writing, Emma!!
Great rhythm, reminds me a bit of Winnie the Pooh ...
I love your poem and the photo so captures your view...
I love this line:
"Now my tummy regrets the yummy"
Oh, this should be in a children's book ;D
So much fun o think of a gluttonous frog. Makes me think of Benjamin Franklin though I know not why!
