Read all about it #NaPoWriMoDayTwentySeven

Forty four years ago
Sitting on a bench
Catching up on all the news
Ignoring the stench

Nothing's really changed that much
Just the way we read
News is still controlled by power
Giving us what we need

Pretending not to like the bad
Asking for more good
But when it's given straight to us
We say they've misunderstood

Xxxxx

Inspired by the photo and linked up at sepia Saturday.

"News is still controlled by power"....well yes and no but the balance has changed a lot. We now have the choice to abandon newspapers and still stay informed as reported in so many comments made in other blogs this week when people have told how they now get their news.
I thought I would look for a witty reply to your poetry but all I found was http://www.limerickpost.ie/
