Margaret Thatcher RIP

In 1979
When I was just a babe
A woman came to power
         A country she would lead

Unpopular with some
         Saviour for many more
There's no doubt that she was
An amazing woman to the core

The miners marched against
         All the plans she made
And poll tax never was
         Popular where it laid

Yet she was returned again
         She did many things right
Today is time to remember
All the ways she shaped our lives

Lady Thatcher rest in peace
         Not perfect, no one is
Thank you for all you did
For your years of loyal service

Emma, you have no idea how pleased I am to read this. I admired her tremendously, even though some of the things she pushed through have not been helpful.
But her "What about the vegetables?" "They'll have the same" makes her a heroine in my eyes :-)
