I choose to smile
Over these last two weeks these words have been so real. I have chosen, most minutes of every day, to smile no matter how I felt inside.
It hasn't been a cover up.
It hasn't been a mask.
It hasn't been fake.
I have chosen to smile to remind myself that I have hope and faith and support and love. That simple smile has been invaluable, an upper in the down moments. The strong smile has kept reminding me that I will always be OK.
It didn't mend anything.
It didn't change anything.
It didn't fool anyone.
But it kept me going to smile.
