Shimmer

Look straight at me
I'm an optical illusion
Eyes don't deceive you

Xxx

You think you see
What you've always seen
But you don't

Xxx

Light falls from sky
Floating effortlessly
Water shimmers

Your word is a shimmer to my feet? :)

Shimmering Shadows & Haiku

Wen I read the three as one poem, I hear shimmer speaking as another individual occurrence that wants to be seen as unique--one shimmer among shimmers. I wonder if that could also be true of the Light we hold each other in as prayer!

Lovely haiku. Shimmer captured well.
