Building a Church

I'm
Building a
Wall at first
Then another will follow
Until there are four walls
For a roof to balance upon
Which will shield the space below it
A space which prayer will build up high
This is the building of a church of God

A worthy goal indeed!

YES! Isn't this exactly how all great things come into being? One piece at a time. One idea, one word, one goal. Lovely piece Emma!

And some of the homes for prayer I have seen in a diverse faiths are amazingly complex. It is a good reminder that they start with the same steps: one wall, then another . . . .

Faith used to build the highest, now money scrapes the sky. But not everything can be seen with our natural eyes. I suffer from frequent crises/ecstasies of faith; I'm rather bipolar in that regard. Your poem inspires me to prayerfully plod ahead one brick at a time.
