Love Crafts at People, Prayers and Potatoes

Today was the monthly People, Prayers and Potatoes at St Nicolas Earley; our messy church service for the young and young at heart.  Today the theme was Love drawing on Valentines Day and God's love of us.  I started the session with an introduction on love as I posted at Valentines Day for kids.  I then let everyone loose on the eleven crafts available to them.

There were painting projects:
fingerprint hearts

toilet roll heart prints

inverted heart paintings

Handprint activities
3D hands - I love you THIS much

Family handprints - God loves our family

Handprint Butterflies - God loves the animals

Heart projects
Heart Angel – God loves us and send angels to protect us
Here are the girls working together on this, I never got a photo though unfortunately

Tree of hearts - God wants us to love the environment

Fish heart – God wants us to love the animals
This was also used in the fish craft last month but it was popular all over again.

And of course, to make a piece of art for the church, there was the handprint heart containing everyone's handprints, adults and children.

There was also a craft of sweets threaded onto wire in the shape of hearts, but those were made and eaten too quickly to be photographed.  I leave it to you to decide whether I did justice to the crafts I found at on Love at Pinterest but everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves and that's what really matters when it comes to craft and fellowship.
